Physical therapist Nicole Clark, PT, MSPT, recently returned to SP.OR.T.S. as a full-time therapist, to celebrate, we’d like to share a bit about her.
Q : Why did you decide to enter the field of physical therapy?
Nicole: I knew I wanted to go into the healthcare field and have always been interested in health and fitness. I was a competitive swimmer and had teammates that were injured. They would go to PT and get better, and often come back stronger and faster than they were before.
Q: What is your background? (what’s your story!)
Nicole: I was born and raised in CT. I spent most of my younger years as a competitive swimmer. I went to Springfield College in Springfield, MA to earn my Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2003. Since then, I have decided to continue my education and am in the process of earning my PHD, with my research focusing on how dry needling effects the sympathetic nervous system.
Q: What is your specialty/niche when it comes to being a physical therapist?
Nicole: I have been working with runners and triathletes most of my career. I specialize in dry needling.
Q. What are you most looking forward to joining SP.OR.T.S ?
I am looking forward to working with the very talented and experienced PTs here.
Q. Any special talents/ hobbies you enjoy etc?
Nicole: In my free time I enjoy training for long course triathlons. I also enjoy long walks and playtime with my dog, Boomer.
